Dan has over 30 years experience helping leaders achieve strong business results in operations, supply chain, medical and executive lean leadership. His most recent experience was an 8 year assignment developing and training lean leaders at the Toyota New United Motor manufacturing (NUMMI) operation in Fremont, California.

He has worked with 20 Fortune 50 companies and many "Mom and Pop" shops - helping over 235 companies in their lean journey. His experience has taught him to first listen and learn. To understand what is happening and why it might be happening and to appreciate a company's history and culture as it relates to business issues and performance. The journey of transforming a company to a lean organization is more about rethinking a company's culture, leadership beliefs and behavior than the implementation of any specific lean tools. One of the most significant projects he has lead was the analyses, rethinking and restructuring of over 15 functions and 300 business processes for a client.

Top leadership brings the required energy and business and market expectations to the lean transformation discussion and sets the expectations for everyone else who will be engaged in the journey.

Dan has a Bachelors degree from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Central Michigan University.
